Let Glee Go

Previously on Glee...

May 13, 2014 marks the date of the last episode of Glee's fifth season. It ended by the college cast finally figuring out what they really wanted to do with the rest of their studies-slash-career(or simply, their lives). With Rachel Berry getting a call from the network saying that she they are now ready to film the pilot episode of her show, Sam Evans going back to McKinley High reminiscing the moments they shared in the choir room-turned-computer lab, Mercedes Jones and Brittany Pierce leaving together for their tour, Artie Abrams being busy in film school, and Blaine Anderson going back to the apartment with Rachel and Kurt Hummel. The scene was accompanied by the song Pompeii by Bastille, which is also the last song we have heard from Glee.

Listen to Pompeii again below:

Now we all know that this season had been the saddest season of all because Cory Monteith, playing Finn Hudson, died due to drug overdose. The show's creators have nothing left to do but to let go of Finn in the show, too. Season 5's third episode titled The Quarterback gave tribute to his passing-away by remembering each of the character's memory with Finn while singing a song that perfectly describes their relationship with him. I'm telling you, it was impossible to watch every scene without weeping out.

The show's creator, Ryan Murphy used this fan-made art as tribute to Monteith.
The rest of the season became very different without Finn, yet the rest of the cast still gives us the perfect reason to watch out for every episode.

Less than a month to go and the final season of this music-filled show, like all good things, will come to an end. I know its hard to accept but there is certainly nothing else left to do. Our favorite high school Glee Club members from McKinley already graduated and started to live independently with their chosen paths in college(or in broadway, as with Rachel Berry's case).

As we conclude Glee's final season, we sure hope to find answers to the questions that have been mingling in our minds for that past five seasons. Together, let us find out by watching Season 6's two-hour premiere on Friday, January 9, 2015 (US timezone). Us in the Philippines can catch it on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 2pm on ETC.

In the meantime, let us listen to this audio of Rachel Berry singing Let It Go from Frozen to ease our eagerness to watch the new (and final) season.
