Since the pilot episode until the episode 5 of season 4, New Girl's iconic and catchy opening credits can still be seen. After having a short break, avid fans and viewers were shocked (and devastated, honestly) when Jess surprised us by not wearing the distinguishable red dress she have always been wearing in most opening credits.
Instead, we were welcomed by a Jess in a lavender dress not singing. :( *ugly-cries like Jess*
Oh, Cece and Coach were there too.
Apparently, the show's creator, Liz Meriwether changed it to include Hannah Simone - the super hot supermodel chick who happens to be Jess's BFF - and Damon Wayans, Jr. - the he-was-there-in-the-first-half-of-the-first-season-but-then-poof-he's-gone-now-there-he-is-again. Meriwether did not actually forget informing the fans of the show by tweeting that what we just saw was real.
Now, Jess in a red dress singing "Who's that girl? It's Jess!" will not be seen in any show anymore. How ravaging, right?! On the bright side, her three cutie roommates in the old opening credits have a plus one now (bonus for having Cece).
So no need to mourn, fellow fans. Look on the bright side! ;)
