TV Shows Are Forever

Television shows have always been around even before the generation x was born. Surely, there are hundreds of TV series genres made for different personalities and age range of viewers. Most series are originally made as TV series while a fraction of it was a movie first before being made as a TV series. Nevertheless, they still get high ratings because people, especially the youth, spend their spare time binge-watching their favorite TV series after loooong hours of doing paper works and school assignments. Of course, getting high ratings is not only because of the number of viewers but also because of the amazing ideas of their writers. What else could you think of a reason on why there are TV series that last longer than expected?

Here are some examples of the (iconic) TV series (mix of cartoon and real people) that had the viewers ask for more and there is nothing else the writers and producers could do but give us more seasons:

1. Fox's The Simpsons Season 26 (1989-Present)

2. NBC's Law and Order Season 20 (1990-2010)

3. Comedy Central's South Park Season 18 (1997-Present)

4. CBS's CSI: Crime Scene Investigation Season 15 (2000-Present)

5. CBS's Two and A Half Men Season 12 (2003-Present)

6. CBS's NCIS Season 12 (2003-Present)

7. ABC's Grey's Anatomy Season 11 (2005-Present)

8. NBC's Friends Season 10 (1994-20014)

9. NBC's Saturday Night Live Season 40 (1975-Present)

10. CBS's The Amazing Race Season 25 (2001-Present)

Personally, I have seen numerous TV series that made it difficult for me to stop getting addicted to. Some of them, I cannot help but become part of my way of everyday living such as the lingo of each show. Their vocabulary fits most of my situations that are nearly similar to theirs (or maybe I tried so hard to make that particular situation to be similar to theirs), so it's just right for me to borrow some of their series jargons.

I may have watched quite a few TV series over the years, but I still have a long list of shows I have yet to watch. I'm just waiting for the time when I have nothing else to do but binge-watch. ;)

Watch out for my next blog post about the series I am currently watching! See ya!
